CMHA is a nationwide, non-profit organization founded in 1918 that promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness. Last year, the Canadian Mental Health Association Halton Region Branch helped more 8,000 people.
CMHA can help you manage mental health and/or addiction concerns in positive ways, get the right care, find a place to live, make healthy choices, and connect to others who can help. Staff can meet with you in the community, in your home, or in our offices. CMHA also provides special support if you have both a mental health concern and a developmental and/or intellectual disability. If you have a mental health and/or addiction concerns and are involved in the criminal justice system, CMHA offers specific programs to support you.
